The Ones Allah Has Not Forgotten: A Hajj Season Reminder
ROYA LIBAASTo our beautiful readers,
There is something deeply emotional about the season of Hajj
Every year, as the days of Dhul Hijjah begin, our hearts naturally turn toward Makkah. We imagine the sea of white garments surrounding the Kaaba, the tears falling during tawaf, the quiet prayers whispered on the plains of Arafah, and the indescribable feeling of being invited by Allah to His sacred House.
For many, this season is filled with gratitude and anticipation as they prepare for the journey of a lifetime. But for others, it can also bring a quiet sadness.
Maybe this was the year you hoped to go.
Maybe you made endless duas for an invitation that did not arrive yet.
Maybe finances, health, responsibilities, or timing stood in the way.
And if that is you, this is your reminder: your story with Allah is not delayed.
Because before Allah looks at the destination, He looks at the intention.
Sometimes we forget how deeply intention matters in Islam. A sincere intention carries immense weight with Allah. The desire in your heart to visit Him, to stand before the Kaaba, to answer His call Allah sees all of it. Every tear, every longing, every silent prayer made after salah is known to Him.
Hajj is not only a journey of the body. It begins as a journey of the heart.
There are people who have walked around the Kaaba without truly arriving spiritually, and there are people sitting miles away whose hearts are already deeply connected to Allah.
So if you are not going to Hajj this year, do not allow disappointment to distance you from these blessed days.
Instead, let these ten days become your own personal journey back to Allah.
The First 10 Days of Dhul Hijjah: A Gift for Every Believer
The first ten days of Dhul Hijjah are among the most beloved days to Allah. Even for those not performing Hajj, these days are filled with mercy, forgiveness, and opportunities for immense reward.
This is your time to reconnect gently and intentionally.
Wake up a little earlier for tahjjud and Fajr.
Make extra dua while the world is quiet.
Wear clothing that makes you feel peaceful, comfortable, and connected to your faith.
Read Quran slowly, even if it is only a few verses.
Give charity quietly.
Fast if you are able, especially on the Day of Arafah.
Remember Allah often.
Sometimes spirituality is not found in grand gestures, but in consistency, sincerity, and softness toward yourself.
Faith in the Everyday Moments
One of the beautiful things about modesty is that it constantly reminds us of intention.
The way we dress, carry ourselves, and move through the world can all become acts of worship when done for the sake of Allah. During this sacred season, even choosing simplicity, comfort, and modesty can become part of your spiritual mindset.
There is beauty in slowing down.
There is beauty in dressing with purpose.
There is beauty in becoming softer with your heart.
And maybe that is what these ten days are truly about.
Not perfection.
Not comparison.
Not feeling “behind” because others are in Makkah while you are at home.
But returning to Allah exactly as you are.
Your Invitation Has Not Passed You
If your heart aches for Hajj, hold onto that feeling with hope instead of sadness.
Allah places certain dreams in our hearts for a reason. Perhaps your invitation is simply being written differently. Perhaps Allah is preparing you spiritually before He calls you physically.
And until that day comes, your worship still matters. Your duas still rise. Your intention is still seen.
Never underestimate what Allah can do with a sincere heart.
A Gentle Reminder Before These Days Begin
Do not spend these blessed days feeling disheartened over what did not happen.
Spend them appreciating what still can.
You can still make tawbah.
You can still pray Tahajjud.
You can still transform your relationship with Allah.
You can still begin again.
Sometimes the most meaningful journeys happen quietly, within the heart, long before our feet ever reach the destination.
May Allah accept the intentions we carry silently.
May He invite every longing heart to His House one day.
And may these blessed days bring peace, closeness, and barakah into every home.
Ameen.
